Adopt with Ease - Our Process

As a devoted cat breeder at Hissy Fit Cattery, I am passionate about finding the right owners for each of my kittens. Each kitten is unique and deserves a caring and loving family. Our adoption process is a special one where we carefully screen each potential candidate for particular factors such as living situation, lifestyle, and family makeup. We believe this process is essential to providing our kittens with forever homes where they can live the best life possible.

Our adoption process!

Step1

Look at kittens! Each kitten has their own personality. We allow video calls to see a potential kitten after the application

Step 2

Apply as a potential adoptive family. We as questions to get to know you and make sure you are going to be a perfect fit with our kittens.

Step 3

After being approved following your application you will be allowed to reserve a kitten. During this process we will allow video calls and send pictures for you to choose from.

Have you ever owned a cat before?

Do you have any other pets in your household? Please List what pets that you have.

Do any of your family members suffer from allergies? Pet Allergies?

Are you getting a cat with the understanding that a child is going to be the cat's primary care taker?

Is everyone in your household in agreement on adding a Maine Coon Cat to your family?

Is your cat going to be strictly an indoor cat or will it be allowed outdoor time also?

In any circumstance.. can you foresee this cat being declawed?

Do you have a preference on sex or color of your new kitten or cat?

Do you understand thatsending in thisreservation contract only guarantees your held place in line and that you are able to skip yourselection if you do notsee your ideal kitten? Lastly you agree to be patient while you wait on your perfect kitten to be born?
